Spot Trips

Why not view the Sierra from a saddle? Our guided Spot Trips get you and your gear to where you want to go....in style! You are taken by saddle stock to your chosen destination, while our sturdy pack stock takes in your gear. You provide all of your own camping equipment, food, utensils etc., and personal items. You may choose one or two way service, and you pay only for the dates of service involving Packer and stock use. The length of your stay does not affect the price of your trip!

When booking a Spot Trip with Rainbow Pack Outfitters, we will reserve the required Wilderness Permits for your overnight stay in the backcountry. The permits are available up to 6 months in advance, on a first come first serve basis, and are highly regulated per USFS policy. Once a reservation has been made, your Wilderness Permits will be available to you at the pack station, on the morning of your trip. So what are you waiting for? Saddle up, and reserve your trip today!
